Olga Flamini serves as the Co-Chief Medical Officer at Myrtelle, where she brings her expertise to the forefront of our clinical development plans. She focuses on patient safety, conducts in-depth data analysis, and prepares clinical documents. With a combined nine years of experience in medicine and neuroscience research, Olga joined Myrtelle in 2021. She earned her PhD in Neuroscience from Rowan University that same year. Her research focused on the effects of stress on norepinephrine functioning in the central nervous system. Olga has authored nine peer-reviewed articles and one book chapter, has presented regularly at major scientific conferences, and received the Trainee Professional Development Award from the Society of Neuroscience in 2018. Before pursuing her PhD in the United States, Olga practiced medicine in Russia as an ophthalmologist from 2012 to 2016, specializing in retinal laser surgery. She was named the Best Young Ophthalmological Researcher in Russia in 2013 and earned her MD from Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry in 2012.Driven by a commitment to improve patient care, Olga's goal is to bring new treatments to patients, thereby enhancing their quality of life. Her unique blend of medical and scientific expertise allows her to effectively bridge the gap between medicine, science, and patient needs. Outside of work, Olga enjoys spending time with her family, engaging in Latin-American dances, playing chess, and pursuing crafting activities.
